YOUR FUTURE IS DETERMINED BY THE DECISION YOU MAKE TODAY
As more
people get strapped for many, fewer of them take the right decision towards
sustaining their aspiration, mostly due to lack of planning. However, what is
even more worrying is that even those who have families are not prioritizing
savings for their children.
For the last
8 years in marriage, our planning tended not to look into the future, but dealt
with situations as they happened, with the argument that some how things will
sort themselves out.
When our son
Oscar made three years, we scouted for a school. Un fortunately we couldn’t
find one in the neighborhood. We went a head and enlisted our son in one that
is several kilometers across town, though it wasn’t our aspiration.
For the
first year, we had to endure the hustle of being on the road before 5:00am to
make sure we drop our child but also make it in time to work before the
mourning hour rush.
It soon
became apparent that this decision had put a lot of pressure on our budget
because tuition a lone was taking 75% of our combined income, yet the fuel
bills had risen substantially. Worse of all, my husband lost the job and
consequently, our son had to be up prematurely uprooted from school in bid to
cut back on our expenditures.
What this
decision did to our son and the family as a whole is what inspired me to advise
you to have a long term view of your finances in order to be successful in
life.
“Any life
style that you aspire for should be sustained by a well structured financial
plan basing on your earning capacity and an action that will drive you to your
dreams”.
